Sony New BWU-100A Blu-ray Burner
Sony Japan will start shipping its newest Blu-ray drive next month, the BWU-100A which supports burning to single or dual-layer discs. A single layer disc can store up to a massive 25GB of data or about 2 hours of high-definition video and the dual-layer could store up to 50GB of data storage which is double the amount of the single layer disc. It has an ATAPI interface that suits most of the desktop PC. Bundled with the Blu-ray drive is the CyberLink BD Solution burning software. For me, i still won't go for Blu-ray drive because you need to wait 50 minutes for a full burning of 25GB disc. BWU-100A will be in North America next month with the price of USD750. That is quite pricey for an internal drive.
