Sony has some delicious new products in its unsurpassed Grand WEGA 3LCD televisions, starting with the KDF-46E2000 LCD TV. As you could probably make out from the name, it's a 46" TV that delivers a big-screen HDTV experience - ideal for your home theater system.

Based on the popular 3LCD technology for its picture quality from Sony, the Sony KDF-46E2000 is housed in a compact frame, and presumably to save space, the speaker has been mounted at the bottom instead of on the side as usual. This also gives you some flexible options when fitting it onto cabinets or smaller spaces.

Offering complete HDTV compatibility, the KDF-46E2000 uses the WEGA engine to reduce digital artifacts, as well as Cinema Black Pro for deeper black images. Two HDMI inputs are provided (useful for connecting WXGA PC signals using a DVI to HDMI adapter) along with a high-def component input for HDV camcorders.

Priced at US $2,200, the Sony KDF-46E2000 will be available mid-summer from SonyStyle.
