Going back a few ages in sound technology, Onkyo announced the availability of a two-channel high-performance music system with a digital amp and CD player. The system comprises of Onkyo A-9555 integrated amplifier that uses a new, 4th generation VL digital amplifier technology for hybrid class D amplification and the Onkyo DX-7555 CD player.

Thanks to the new design, the A-9555 delivers 100 watts per channel into 8 ohm speakers or 200 watts into 4 ohms with very little heat produced in the process. With seven stereo component inputs, you can connect your old tape player as well.

The DX-7555, a two-channel player, is compatible with audio CDs, CD-R/RW and MP3 CDs. Also available is a Wolfson Microelectronics DAC circuit allowing you to select profiles for sharp or slow high-frequency rolloff.

The Onkyo A-9555 amp is priced at US $699.99 and the DX-7555 CD player comes at US $599.99. Onkyo.
