NEC unveiled its new super quiet mini tower work station, the Express 5800/54Ca which uses water cooling technology and it will decrease the noise by 30%. The work station is powered by Intel Pentium 4 661 3.60GHz processor that runs on Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating system. They have another two choices of processor for you: Pentium 4 with 3Ghz or 3.40GHz speed. The base configurations boasts a 512MB DDR2-SDRAM on-board memory which is expandable to 4GB, Intel 955X Express chipset, Quadro NVS 285 graphic card, 80GB on-board hard disk with add-on slot for SATA HDD, and DVD Super multiple drive. In addition, it has one PCI express x16 and three PCI slot, 3.5-inch slot bay, D-Sub 15 pin, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, four USB 2.0 ports, parallel port and serial port. It weights 14.5kg with the size of 155 x 432 x 400.5 mm. Express 5800/54Ca work station computer will be available from 20th July with the basic configuration price of 327,290Yen which is about USD2,852.
