Whether it's a classroom or a business conference with tight schedules, you know how annoying it can be when you switch off your projector and it takes forever to shutdown. That's why Mitsubishi has come up with two new projectors, the XD430U and SD430U.

Rated at 2,500 ANSI lumens for brightness and 2000:1 contrast ratio, these new projectors come in a more portable form-factor and can be accommodated on a tabletop or ceiling, attached to a new anti-theft ring. XD430U offers XGA resolution (1024 x 768 pixels) and offers two PC inputs and a monitor loop-through. An RS-232c port is provided to allow external control systems access to it.

The SD430U is similarly featured and also comes with dual PC inputs, but the resolution is lower at 800 x 600 pixels (SVGA). Aimed at the burgeoning business and education markets, both projectors use the standard Texas Instruments Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology that delivers superior quality images.

The SD5430U and XD430U come in a filter-free construction making them resistant to dust and other particles, making them virtually maintenance-free. Both weigh approximately the same - 5.7 pounds, making them easy to carry around.
